This song was written after the insurrection in Washington DC on January 6th 2021. It was made possible by my fans, followers, friends, family, and anyone who's heart breaks to see this great country swallowed by violence and division.

If it means the rich get rich and the poor keep getting more poor
White nationalists can storm the capitol building
No consequence no tear gas or bullets
What in the hell were they thinking?

Whatever happened to freedom?
I don’t feel very free
No I feel like a hostage
In Washington DC

In my country

I don’t want to be an American in this day and age
Cuz we’ve all become pariahs on the international stage
Your Not welcome here you’ll burn down our houses
Start riots in the street
The virus isn’t airborne it’s sewed into our seams

Red white and blue?
I don’t know about you
When I see that flag these days I simply
Don’t know what to do
I don’t have the pride in the Stars and Stripes
The way i used to.

I don’t want to be an American anymore
If it means I’ll have to choose a side in a second civil war
Why is this one man worth all this violence?
Bigotry and denying science?
Zealotry for one small tyrant?
And how in the hell can you stay silent?
How can you watch all these riots and say
“If you don’t like it, there’s the door”?
